As a family with 2 young children (5yr and 8yr) this was our second visit to this resort - we will surely be returning again. We travel frequently to beach resorts in Europe and Dubai - and I can confidently say this resort is up there among the best in terms of value for money in the £500-600 per night bracket (inc. half-board for a family of 4). It is a large resort with different types of accommodation to suit your budget - this review is based on our experience of the Grand Beach Suite (with pool) on the Dream island. Location: The resort is appx 45min boat ride away from the Velana airport - and their team was there to collect us at the airport (there is an extra charge for this transfer for adults - but kids go free). The resort consists of 3 islands connected to each other via bridges - with a frequent shuttle service to ferry guests from one end to the other. The grounds and beaches are maintained to an excellent standard...all very clean and green..full credit to the maintenance team. Accommodation: Last year we had stayed in a Grand Water Villa on the Dream island which we thought was excellent - this year we wanted to try one of the newly built Grand Beach Suites with private pools. The suites are at par or even better than some 5 star properties we've visited before. Well done to the management for the well thought out design and luxurious bathrooms. The suite, with its 2 rooms, was large enough for our family - with a large patio area with a pool and directly leading to the beach. Room was well stocked and we had daily visits from Santosh and his team who did an excellent job in keeping it clean and stocked up. Food and restaurants: We were booked on a half-board basis and chose to eat at the Malaafaiy buffet restaurant due to close proximity to our room - but there are numerous other restaurants to eat. Staff: All staff are very well mannered and work hard to provide a good experience. Overall great experience and we will return again!

My wife and I went to Sun Siyam Olhuveli for our honeymoon...To say that our whole experience was amazing and unforgettable is an understatement...From the moment we stepped foot on the Island we were extremely impressed...The resort itself is absolutely amazing, like paradise...There are 3 islands which are all connected and all have several bars and restaurants which are all beautiful...The staff are extremely helpful and will attend to your every need..The front of house manager Yoosuf Hasnain went above and beyond the call of duty..He is extremely polite and helpful and really made us feel special...My wife and I vape and we quickly ran out of our disposable vapes and they didn't sell them on the Island...I spoke with Hasnain and he made arrangements for vapes to be brought from the main island and delivered them to our room...He met with us everyday to ask how our stay was and if we needed anything...He is really professional and the service there was really amazing....Also like to mention 2 other staff members who were really polite and also attended to our needs anytime we were out in some of the restaurants and bars...Sunita and Ariska, both beautiful and extremely professionally ladies who knew how to make us feel welcome...We loved everything about the resort, from the cleanliness of the whole island and the extremely professional service....We would highly recommend anyone travelling to the maldives to choose this resort, no need to look any further because you will not be disappointed...Thank you sooooo much to Hasnain, Ariska, Sunita and the rest of the staff that we interacted with , you made our stay an unforgettable experience....The food amazing, the excursions were unbelievable...We got to swim with sharks 🦈, what an experience...We also got to snorkel on one of the garden reefs with turtles and we also went out on an evening sunset dolphin 🐬 cruise to watch spinner dolphins.....

This is our second time in Maldives, first time was pre-covid and it was a couple vacation and at fancy expensive luxury Como hotel. Which was amazing but obviously it costs a fortune. This time round we were going as a family with 4 and 5 year old kids. We are Ru / French couple. Main criteria’s were - reasonable priced (given maldives overall overpriced but something that is acceptable), we dont need to take a plane (boat was preffered and ideally not more than 45-1 hour travel time). Also i wanted the hotel / island to have its own reef, kids club and a bit of space so not a tiny island but where we can do a little more as we stayed a week there. From that perspective this hotel was a great fit. The trip to the island was 45 mins, after plane arrival we had to wait less than 20- 30 mins to get on a boat, trip was fine not too rough, quite easy. Hotel is located on 3 small connected islands whereu can freely move between the islands. One of them though is Adults only, so no kids allowed. But we left kids to play at the kids club and enjoyed a nice drink in quite adults only beach restaurant. There is a small buggy / bus that circulates between islands, longest we had to wait for one was 10 mins otherwise within couple of mins u usually get it. Kids liked this small buggy bus so for us was not any issue, u can also walk between the islands and there is enough shade from trees. Reef: its easy to access from either diving center or also from the beach where our villa was, we saw plenty of fish, turtles, small sharks, rays, octopus almost every day. Rooms/ villas: i was a bot worried when booking the hotel as i read a few reviews saying villas are very old but inalso noticed that most of these reviews were in 2021 which is peak of covid and i think most hotels suffered so decided tontake a risk. In the end the villa we booked (on the beach with a pool) was very good and quite new. So was happy.

Incredible 9 days on Dream Island! From the moment we arrived the staff could not do more for you. Hana was our rep and she was on call via whatsapp for anything we needed. She arranged our spa visit and always replied instantly. We were half board and stayed in the Grand Water Villa. Alamin was our housekeeper who always kept our villa immaculate and surprised us with adorable decorations on the bed in the evenings. Our waiter in the Malaafaiy Restaurant was AK. He was like having a personal assistant who helped us each day and gave us advice. We always had a great table by the edge with sea view. The food in here was amazing! It changed every evening and there was so much choice. Loved it! Next door we would enjoy happy hour cocktails with the Waiter Anton who was like our personal weatherman. At lunch time we would pop over to the Crust & Flame and have High Tea which was free and consited of canepe’s which kept us going until dinner. We also at at the Romance Island. The pizza is amazing! Romance Island is just perfect. We spent a lot of time there as it is 5 star and adults only and the furthest pool is probably the most beautiful pool I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. The view at sunset is breathtaking. This is our 3rd trip to the Maldives and my favourite island yet. There is nothing you cannot love about it. The rooms have everything. The beaches are stunning and the people are adorable. It is a true peace of heaven.
